The 2013 Annual Report of TCA is now available online.
The Report highlights the many programs, projects and grants of TCA in 2013. Of the program areas, TCA Youth and Education programs received the largest allocation of TCA funds in 2013.
Dr. Yalcin Ayasli, TCA Chairman stated on the occasion, "Since 2007, TCA strives to make a meaningful contribution to advancing the role of civil society in strengthening relations between the United States and Turkey. We are proud of the progress we have made and the milestones reached. To highlight just a few, through support from the TCA Study Tour Grants and Study Abroad Scholarship programs, 115 American university students visited and studied in Turkey. Young Turkish Americans, on the other hand, get the chance to live and work in Washington, learning about the American political process through the TCA Washington Internship Program, which was given to 17 students in 2013, bringing the alumni of this program to 117. Our outreach on Congress has grown the Caucus on US-Turkey Relations and Turkish Americans into one of the top three ethnic caucuses in Congress, with the addition of members of the Senate beginning in 2013. The TCA Academic Grants helped bring together scholars from all over the world in international conferences, expand scholarship and major publications on Turkey. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the TCA board and staff, as well as all of our partners in the Turkish American community and beyond for their contributions to our common goal of strengthening US-Turkey relations through people-to-people bridges."
