The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) and the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) are pleased to announce awards for three outstanding Turkish American associations. These awards will promote and recognize excellence in grassroots organization, engagement with the Turkish American community, and outreach to elected officials in the United States.
Three outstanding ATAA component organizations from across the country will be selected to receive a $5,000 grant from TCA as recipients of this award. Selection will be based on the results of the Turkish American Association Survey conducted by TCA and ATAA. Criteria include organization membership, promotion of Turkish culture and heritage in the community, advocacy, civic activism, and educational programs for young Turkish Americans.
To be eligible for the award, organizations must be in good standing with ATAA and be in attendance at ATAA's 36th Annual Turkish American National Leadership Conference, February 25-27, 2016. Recipients of the award will be announced at the ATAA Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony during the Leadership Conference on Saturday evening, February 27.
